One of these processes is the degree, given the large number of professionals who have completed the curriculum but have not obtained their degree. The diagnosis of this situation at the Universidad Tecnologica Universidad de America (UTI) was conducted between January and March 2015. The causes of lack of titration were studied using a methodology that describes the particularities of this process through interviews with graduates, tutors and academic managers. The Higher Education Council established specific policies that offer opportunities for non-graduate graduates through the design and implementation of the special titling unit, but the ways in which this purpose was achieved without diminishing their quality were not specified. This article offers an experience that evidences the transformation of the degree from the management of the academic team of Postgraduate, observing the current context in which the training process of the Master is developed. It concludes with a proposal that surpasses the previous one in which the director and the examiners had different positions; and expects to achieve a degree accredited by its quality in the new academic offer considering the indicators of the Council of Evaluation, Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education. A study that would complement these results, is the analysis of the scope of the research and the interest that generates in the international scientific community. La formación especializada de maestrías en el sistema educativo ecuatoriano en los últimos años ha tenido transformaciones sustanciales. Uno de esos procesos es la titulación, dada la gran cantidad de profesionales que han terminado la malla curricular pero que no han obtenido su título. El diagnóstico de esta situación en la Universidad Tecnológica Indoamérica (UTI) se realizó entre enero y marzo de 2015. Se estudiaron las causas que generan la falta de titulación, utilizando una metodología que describe las particularidades de este proceso a través de entrevistas a egresados, tutores y gestores académicos. El Consejo de Educación Superior dispuso políticas específicas que ofrecen oportunidades para los egresados no titulados, a través del diseño y ejecución de la unidad de titulación especial, pero no se especificaron las formas de cómo conseguir este propósito sin disminuir su calidad. En este artículo se ofrece una experiencia que evidencia la transformación de la titulación desde la gestión del equipo académico de Posgrado, observando el contexto actual en que se desarrolla el proceso formativo del máster. Se concluye con una propuesta que supera a la anterior en la que el director y los examinadores tenían posturas diferentes; y prevé alcanzar una titulación acreditada por su calidad en la nueva oferta académica considerando los indicadores del Consejo de Evaluación, Acreditación y Aseguramiento de la Calidad de la Educación Superior.
