| Sumario: | This research analyzes the potential impact on the bilateral diplomatic relations between Ecuador and the United States, due to the diplomatic asylum to Julian Assange, founder of The WikiLeaks Organization. For a better understanding of the implications of Assange’s case, the following study examines the historical bilateral diplomatic relations between Ecuador - United States, as well as the different worldviews of the figure of a diplomatic asylum in America and Europe. Likewise, here are studied the origin; the information, the implications and the international community reactions concerning the military and diplomatic documents of the United States, published in the WikiLeaks site and the Newspapers around the world.
