Sumario:The notorious case of General Augusto Pinochet, caused an uproar that transcended the international level, and questioned the applicability of the rules in case of trial and prosecution of crimes of genocide, which is why the importance of investigating the crime of genocide to prevent and punish future cases in which this transgression against humanity. This thesis aims to show the historical truth of Chile during the military dictatorship to rebuild a complete picture of the genocide in which hundreds of Chileans were victims. Hence lies the importance of starting a discussion of the genocide when a large part of our history has shown us that governments bloodthirsty, specifically taking the case of General Augusto Pinochet, who is the special subject of this thesis, have manipulated the justice to their advantage to cemmit acts that communities should be punished severely.
