Sumario:The following research looks forward to applying the concept of biomimicry, which invites to create nature inspired design, knowing that it has solved all kinds of design problems during history and is still preserved and evolving until these days. Having as its main character, hummingbirds, due to being the bird that represents Ecuador the most because of its diversity, especially when its abundance is given because of their location in the equatorial line. In consequence of it, making the analysis of shape, function and behavior for the creation of a tool, which will inspire designers to create design, by looking at pictures of the hummingbird or by reading different characteristics that have been obtained by analyzing them, letting them create new different types of design. Showing that an animal or bird can generate different types of design, whether it is in its literal or more abstract way.
