Sumario:The present work was done in Formactual, this company is dedicated to the production of furniture in solid wood and melamine, being its flagship product the kitchen modules in melamine. The selling area takes client s order, then the design is made and presented to the client, if the client accepts the design the production area starts making the order and finally the order is installed on location. The company is at the south of the capital of Ecuador in the sector Loma de Puengasí. The project is carried out in the production area of melamine kitchen modules. Within this process are the lack of traceability of the parts and pieces, time spent in the classification and movements, as well as each operator performs the processes in different ways all of these delays the production process. Therefore, with the proposal of implementation of some Lean Manufacturing tools such as: visual management Kanban, 5S s, standard work SOS and Value Stream Map VSM, it is intended to minimize these dead time and delays that do not add value to the product but represent a cost to the company. Minimizing in 55.47 minutes per production of a linear meter of kitchen. In Chapter 1 are the background of the company, the description of the problem, and the objectives to be achieved are described. In Chapter 2 are the theoretical foundations on which the project development is based are detailed. In Chapter 3 are the current situation of the company, the process diagram, the time analysis, the VSM, the simulation in FlexSim and finally the findings are summarized. In Chapter 4 are the improvement proposal and the details of the Lean Manufacturing tools that are: visual management, 5S s, standard work and VSM. In Chapter 5 are the analysis of the results of the improvement proposals that were made, representing the improved times and de VSM of the improvement proposal. Also, the cost and benefit analysis.
