description The present work was done in Formactual, this company is dedicated to the production of furniture in solid wood and melamine, being its flagship product the kitchen modules in melamine. The selling area takes client s order, then the design is made and presented to the client, if the client accepts the design the production area starts making the order and finally the order is installed on location. The company is at the south of the capital of Ecuador in the sector Loma de Puengasí. The project is carried out in the production area of melamine kitchen modules. Within this process are the lack of traceability of the parts and pieces, time spent in the classification and movements, as well as each operator performs the processes in different ways all of these delays the production process. Therefore, with the proposal of implementation of some Lean Manufacturing tools such as: visual management Kanban, 5S s, standard work SOS and Value Stream Map VSM, it is intended to minimize these dead time and delays that do not add value to the product but represent a cost to the company. Minimizing in 55.47 minutes per production of a linear meter of kitchen. In Chapter 1 are the background of the company, the description of the problem, and the objectives to be achieved are described. In Chapter 2 are the theoretical foundations on which the project development is based are detailed. In Chapter 3 are the current situation of the company, the process diagram, the time analysis, the VSM, the simulation in FlexSim and finally the findings are summarized. In Chapter 4 are the improvement proposal and the details of the Lean Manufacturing tools that are: visual management, 5S s, standard work and VSM. In Chapter 5 are the analysis of the results of the improvement proposals that were made, representing the improved times and de VSM of the improvement proposal. Also, the cost and benefit analysis.

El presente trabajo se desarrollará en la empresa Formactual, la cual está ubicada al sur de la capital del Ecuador en el sector La Loma de Puengasí. La empresa se dedica a la realización de muebles y modulares en madera sólida y melamínico respectivamente, siendo su producto estrella los módulos de cocina en melamínico. El área de ventas toma el pedido del cliente, luego se desarrolla el diseño el cual es presentado y una vez aprobado comienza la producción entregando el producto instalado. El trabajo de titulación se lo realiza en el área de producción de modulares de cocina en melamínico. Dentro de este proceso se han visto demoras causadas por la falta de trazabilidad de las partes y piezas, el tiempo invertido en la clasificación y movimientos de las mismas, así como también cada operario realiza los procesos de diferente manera. Por ende, con la propuesta de implementación de algunas herramientas de Manufactura Esbelta como: administración visual, 5S s, trabajo estándar y el mapa de la cadena de valor se pretende minimizar estas demoras y tiempos desperdiciados que no agregan valor al producto, pero representa un costo para la empresa, disminuyendo en 55,47 minutos por producción de un metro lineal de cocina. En el capítulo 1, se describen los antecedentes de la empresa, la descripción del problema, así como los objetivos que se desea alcanzar. En el capítulo 2, se detallan los fundamentos teóricos en el cual se basa el desarrollo del proyecto. En el capítulo 3, se describe la situación actual en la cual se encuentra la empresa, se realiza la diagramación de procesos, el análisis de tiempos, el VSM, la simulación en FlexSim y para finalizar se resumen los hallazgos. En el capítulo 4, se encuentra la propuesta de mejora detallando las herramientas de Manufactura Esbelta que se proponen siendo estas: administración visual, 5S s, trabajo estándar y VSM. En el capítulo 5, se realiza el análisis de resultados de las propuestas de mejora representando los tiempos mejorados y el VSM de la propuesta de mejora. Así como también se presenta el análisis de costo beneficio.
