| Sumario: | Currently, the NGOs have had certain limitations in terms of their participation in programs within Ecuador, as well as funding has become more complicated. Desarrollo y Autogestión (DYA), is a non-profit that is experiencing these problems. Therefore, a study on the lifting of funds demonstrated that two essential parts where needed, fundraising and organizational restructuring to have a workforce that is dedicated to the subject. A second aspect discusses the allocation of costs so that the projects can survive, since being a non-profit organization donations are carefully audited and many donors do not cover indirect costs. The third and last point evaluates possible models to work with the Ecuadorian Government that would help DYA to earn additional income and to remain engaged in the area of education within the country. |
