| Sumario: | Nowadays wind energy is one of the most mature and efficient renewable energy resources. It is used to convert the kinetic energy of wind into electrical energy. It?s a way to avoid the consumption and burning of fossil fuels and to decrease greenhouse gas emissions. The Government of the Republic of Ecuador decided in 2008 to change its energy matrix to energy sector development that is based on renewable natural resources. It is expected to significantly increase the share of renewable energies in the energy mix. |
