Toxoplasma Gondii Infection: The role of physical stress on immunomodulation and pathogenesis during the acute and chronic phase on infection.

The study of the mechanisms by which stress modulates immunity and pathogenesis during infection is a novel area of research. Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI), a relatively new field, studies the complex interactions among behavior, neural and endocrine function, and the immune system.
