| Sumario: | In Cantón Alfredo Baquerizo Moreno "Jujan", a large percentage of organizations make use of Wireless Networks, either for their internal network or for Internet access. Although some network administrators in the area know about the types of attacks that exist, no security measures are taken to protect the WLANs. Emphasis should be placed on the mechanisms of encryption of information, because in most cases the default configuration is used. Security techniques should be implemented to protect information from organizations.
The security level in the wireless network of the Autonomous Government of Canton Alfredo Baquerizo Moreno "Jujan" and the authentication mechanisms used do not always certify the complete efficiency in terms of the security of a wireless network. In addition, the Municipality has recently implemented internet access points, with no opportunity to analyze them completely to check the level of security and vulnerability. Information is considered as an important element in any organization and the Municipality is no exception, for this reason it is of the utmost importance that it reaches its destination completely intact. |
