Sumario:This paper gives a theoretical analysis and practical of the acquisition and sending data from smart meters through text messages or SMS to concentrator. The problem to solve is the property presented by each manufacturer on their devices, for example meters or concentrators General Electric, Itron, Elster, cannot communicate with other meters or hub of different manufacturer. To solve the problem should be take signals CTs of each meter, the signals are digitized and stored allowing the exchange of information regardless of the software or hardware owner of any energy measurement equipment. The evolution of the electric energy measurement is detailed from the first electro-mechanical meters to smart meters. The state of art of the electrical measurement is described as technical characteristics of meters and concentrators that are in the market features. The benefits of telecommunications for utilities and consumers are analyzed. This project shows the types of networks data that are involved in communications as technologies that are used in the transmission means considering protocols and regulations that allow the transmission of information between smart meters and concentrators Finally detailed the technology most profitable for the intelligent measurement, it analyzing of the technical feasibility for implementing an additional module to the already installed meters.
