Borja, María Eugenia Orozco López, Ximena María Capital Humano Gasto Público Crecimiento Económico Sociedad The present research work called human capital and its impact on economic growth in Ecuador during the period 2006 - 2016, focuses on analyzing investment in strategic sectors such as health and education as mechanisms that constitute a priority for economic growth and social welfare. The content of the research is composed of four chapters as follows: Chapter I. - Reference Frame, refers to the problem statement, problem formulation, general and specific objectives, and justification and importance; In this chapter we can highlight the problem that arises the research and the objectives that it is desired to fulfill to demonstrate the importance of the same. Chapter II. - Theoretical Framework, is composed of concepts, characteristics, theories, as well as the approaches that determine the behavior of the same, just as economic growth is considered principles, sources and theories. Chapter III. - Methodological Framework, describes the methodology applied in research, health indicators and educational indicators, the economic growth behavior and the results of the estimation of the econometric model, through the linear regression model estimated by the method of ordinary least squares. Chapter IV. - The conclusions and respective recommendations of the investigative work are presented. El presente trabajo investigativo designado el capital humano y su incidencia en el crecimiento económico de Ecuador durante el período 2006 - 2016, se enfoca en analizar la inversión en los sectores estratégicos como la salud y la educación como mecanismos que constituyen una prioridad para el crecimiento económico y el bienestar social. El contenido de la investigación se compone de cuatro capítulos de la siguiente manera: El capítulo I.- Marco Referencial, se refiere al planteamiento del problema, formulación del problema, los objetivos general y específicos, y la justificación e importancia; en este capítulo se puede evidenciar el problema por el cual surge la investigación y los objetivos que se desea cumplir para demostrar la importancia de la misma. El capítulo II.- Marco Teórico, se compone por conceptos, características, teorías, así como los enfoques que permiten determinar el comportamiento del capital humano, de igual forma en el crecimiento económico se considera los principios, fuentes y teorías. El capítulo III.-Marco Metodológico, describe la metodología aplicada en la investigación, indicadores de salud e indicadores educativos, el comportamiento del crecimiento económico y los resultados de la estimación del modelo econométrico, a través del modelo de regresión lineal estimado por el método de mínimos cuadrados ordinarios. El capítulo IV.- está formado por las conclusiones y las respectivas recomendaciones de la investigación.
