Having as its main character, hummingbirds, due to being the bird that represents Ecuador the most because of its diversity, especially when its abundance is given because of their location in the equatorial line. In consequence of it, making the analysis of shape, function and behavior for the creation of a tool, which will inspire designers to create design, by looking at pictures of the hummingbird or by reading different characteristics that have been obtained by analyzing them, letting them create new different types of design. Showing that an animal or bird can generate different types of design, whether it is in its literal or more abstract way. El presente trabajo de investigación busca aplicar el concepto de biomimética, el cual invita a encontrar inspiración dentro de la naturaleza ya que esta ha resuelto problemas de diseño dentro de la historia, perseverando en el tiempo. Teniendo como protagonista del proyecto al colibrí, ya que es el ave más representativa de Ecuador, por su abundancia y variedad de especies, al tener la ventaja de ubicarse en la línea ecuatorial. Generando así el analizar su forma, función y comportamiento para la creación de una herramienta de diseño que ayude inspirar a diseñadores al darles pautas tanto visuales como teóricas de diferentes características extraídas del colibrí para la generación de ideas.
