Sumario:The objective of this proyect is to analyze how the Andean cosmovision and interculturality constitute a source and alternative to promote sustainable development from sumak kawsay in the current Ecuadorian context, as well as how it intervenes in the vision of the world and its correlation with all factors of nature, including the human being, which represents a social evolution in constant reconstruction and renewal, where egalitarian, mutual representation and a firm relationship of human beings to each other predominate, as part of the living ecosystem and the natural environment. The methodology used is identified with the qualitative paradigm and emphasizes the review and analysis of the work of different authors and previous research. As a result of the study carried out, it is concluded that progress, from the perspective of the Andean cosmovision, is not correlated with material heritage, as in the current globalized system. In addition, the conception of the Andean worldview and interculturality do not correspond to a stage of underdevelopment, but rather constitute a need to recover collective values, both in the classroom and in society, which strongly disagrees with the neoliberal ideology currently in force.
